Air Fryer Rump Steak & Chips
Ingredients:
- 2 rump steaks
- 2 large potatoes
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: your favorite steak seasoning or marinade
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- While the air fryer is preheating, prepare your potatoes. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices to resemble chips or fries. You can also cut them into wedges if you prefer thicker fries.
- Place the potato slices in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss them to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste, or any other seasoning you prefer.
- Once the air fryer is preheated, place the potato slices in the basket of the air fryer in a single layer. Make sure they are not overcrowded to allow proper air circulation. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the chips are golden brown and crispy.
- While the chips are cooking, season the rump steaks with salt, pepper, and any other seasoning or marinade of your choice. Allow the steaks to come to room temperature while the chips cook.
- After the chips are done, remove them from the air fryer and set aside. Place the seasoned rump steaks in the air fryer basket.
- Cook the steaks in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 8-12 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness and the thickness of the steaks. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F (54-57°C).
- Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the rump steaks with the crispy air-fried chips, and enjoy your delicious meal!
