Ingredients:
For the kebabs:
- 1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 pound smoked sausage, cut into chunks
- 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 red onion, cut into chunks
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
For the marinade:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the marinade: olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Thread the shrimp, sausage, bell pepper, and onion onto the wooden skewers, alternating them to create colorful kebabs.
- Brush the kebabs with the prepared marinade, ensuring they are well coated on all sides.
- Place the kebabs in the preheated air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry the kebabs at 400°F for 8-10 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time. Shrimp should turn pink, and the sausage and veggies should be slightly charred.
- Once the kebabs are cooked, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a minute.
- Serve the air fryer shrimp and sausage kebabs with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor, if desired.
