Air fryer sliced potatoes

Air fryer sliced potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 medium-sized potatoes, washed and peeled (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes: a. Slice the potatoes into thin, uniform rounds. You can use a mandoline slicer for even thickness. b. Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl of cold water for a few minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. Season the Potatoes: In a large bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Make sure the potatoes are evenly coated with the seasoning.
  4. Air Fry the Potatoes: a. Place the seasoned potato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. b. Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through the cooking time. Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of your slices and the model of your air fryer.
  5. Check for Crispiness: a. Check the potatoes for crispiness. If they need more time, continue air frying in 5-minute intervals until they reach your desired level of crispiness.
  6. Serve: Once the potatoes are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve the air-fried sliced potatoes with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, aioli, or ranch.
