Ingredients:
- 3-4 medium-sized potatoes, washed and peeled (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the Potatoes: a. Slice the potatoes into thin, uniform rounds. You can use a mandoline slicer for even thickness. b. Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl of cold water for a few minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Season the Potatoes: In a large bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Make sure the potatoes are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Air Fry the Potatoes: a. Place the seasoned potato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. b. Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through the cooking time. Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of your slices and the model of your air fryer.
- Check for Crispiness: a. Check the potatoes for crispiness. If they need more time, continue air frying in 5-minute intervals until they reach your desired level of crispiness.
- Serve: Once the potatoes are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve the air-fried sliced potatoes with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, aioli, or ranch.
