Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: lemon wedges and fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to create a spice rub.
- Season the Chicken:
- Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken thighs, making sure to coat them evenly.
- Air Fry:
- Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side up, leaving some space between them for proper air circulation.
- Cook the chicken thighs in the preheated air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model, so it’s a good idea to check for doneness.
- Check for Doneness:
- To ensure the chicken is fully cooked, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
- Serve:
- Once the chicken thighs are cooked through and crispy on the outside, remove them from the air fryer.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs and serve with lemon wedges for added flavor.
