Air Fryer Wings w/ Homemade Buffalo sauce.

Air Fryer Wings w/ Homemade Buffalo sauce.

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Wings:

  • 2 pounds of chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (adjust for your preferred level of spiciness)

For the Homemade Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup of hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Chicken Wings:
    • In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Make sure the wings are evenly coated.
  3. Cook the Chicken Wings:
    • Place the seasoned chicken wings in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is not large enough to accommodate all the wings at once.
    • Cook the wings at 400°F (200°C) for about 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, or until they are crispy and golden brown.
  4. Make the Homemade Buffalo Sauce:
    • While the wings are cooking, melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over low heat.
    • Once the butter is melted, stir in the hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Simmer the sauce for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust the seasoning to your preference.
  5. Coat the Chicken Wings:
    • Once the chicken wings are done in the air fryer, remove them and place them in a large mixing bowl.
    • Pour the homemade Buffalo sauce over the wings, and toss them to coat evenly. Make sure each wing is well coated with the sauce.
  6. Serve:
    • Transfer the saucy wings to a serving platter, and serve them hot with your choice of dipping sauces and sides, such as celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing.
