APPLE PIE QUESADILLAS RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 2 large flour tortillas (or cinnamon-flavored tortillas for extra sweetness)
  • 2 medium apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (or sweetener of your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese or cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Apples:
    • In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract (if using).
    • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are softened and caramelized (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Assemble the Quesadillas:
    • Place a tortilla on a clean surface or plate. If you’re using cheese, sprinkle a thin layer of shredded cheese on one side of the tortilla.
    • Spoon the cooked apple mixture onto the center of the tortilla. If desired, you can also spread a little cream cheese for extra creaminess.
    • Place a second tortilla on top to create a sandwich-like shape.
  3. Cook the Quesadillas:
