Chicken breast Broccoli

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (about 500g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat, sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil to create the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  6. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce over the chicken and broccoli. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
  8. Adjust seasoning if necessary and add red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.
  9. Serve the Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry over rice or noodles, and garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
