Delicious Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 slices ham
  • 4 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese, each cut into two triangles
  • Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven according to the crescent roll package instructions.
  2. Unroll Dough:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  3. Assemble Rolls:
    • Place a slice of ham on each crescent roll triangle. If desired, spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on the ham for extra flavor.
    • Top the ham with a triangle of cheese.
  4. Roll Up:
    • Starting from the wider end, roll up each crescent roll, enclosing the ham and cheese.
  5. Place on Baking Sheet:
    • Arrange the rolled-up crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each roll.
  6. Optional Toppings:
    • If desired, brush the tops of the rolls with a little beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds for added texture.
  7. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven according to the crescent roll package instructions or until the rolls are golden brown.
  8. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
