Fried Pork Chop Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pork Chops:
- Rinse the pork chops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps remove any excess moisture.
- If the pork chops have a lot of fat around the edges, you may want to trim some of it off to prevent excessive splattering while frying.
- Set Up the Dredging Station:
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk to create an egg wash.
- Dredge the Pork Chops:
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Dip each pork chop into the seasoned flour mixture, coating it evenly on both sides. Shake off any excess flour.
- Next, dip the floured pork chop into the egg wash, making sure it’s fully coated.
- Finally, dip the pork chop back into the seasoned flour mixture, coating it again on both sides.
- Fry the Pork Chops:
- Carefully place the coated pork chops into the hot oil. Be cautious not to overcrowd the skillet; you may need to fry them in batches depending on the size of your skillet.
- Fry the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach at least 145°F (63°C).
- Once done, transfer the fried pork chops to a plate lined with paper towels to drain off any excess oil.
- Serve:
- Serve the fried pork chops hot with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or coleslaw.
