Fried Tofu with Sweet Chili Sauce

Ingredients:
14 oz. firm tofu, drained and pressed
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp dried basil
Vegetable oil for frying
Sweet chili sauce for serving
Instructions:
Cut the tofu into 1/2-inch thick slices and pat dry with paper towels.
In a shallow dish, mix together the cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried basil.
Dip each tofu slice into the mixture and coat both sides evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
Once the oil is hot, carefully place the tofu slices into the pan and cook until both sides are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the tofu from the pan and place it on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
Serve the fried tofu hot with sweet chili sauce.
