Ingredients:
- Eggs
- Cooking spray or oil (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste (optional)
- Toast or English muffins (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). The preheating process usually takes about 2-3 minutes.
- Prepare the Eggs: Crack each egg into a small bowl or ramekin. This makes it easier to transfer the eggs into the air fryer without breaking the yolks.
- Grease the Air Fryer Basket (Optional): You can lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush it with a small amount of oil to prevent the eggs from sticking. This step is optional, as some air fryer baskets are non-stick.
- Place Eggs in the Air Fryer: Carefully transfer the cracked eggs into the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space between the eggs to allow for even cooking.
- Cooking Time: Cook the eggs in the preheated air fryer for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness. For a runny yolk, aim for the shorter end of the cooking time, and for a firmer yolk, go for the longer end. Keep in mind that cooking times may vary slightly between different air fryer models, so it’s a good idea to check the eggs periodically.
- Season and Serve: Once the eggs are cooked to your liking, carefully remove them from the air fryer basket using a spatula. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
- Serve with Toast or English Muffins (Optional): Poached eggs are delicious on their own, but you can also serve them on top of toasted bread or English muffins. This is a classic way to enjoy poached eggs, especially if you like to make a quick eggs Benedict.
