Hamburger Steak Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Gravy Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Other Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked wild rice
  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 cups steamed broccoli florets
  • Sweet potato cornbread (you can find a recipe online or use a mix)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape the mixture into patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the hamburger patties until they are browned and cooked through. Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a roux. Cook for a minute or two until the flour is lightly browned.
